so Amen is releasing a mixtape which I had a big part in production wise (8 tracks) and we’re putting it online for free download (with hard copies available soon hopefully)….below is what hyphen has sent out…make sure to download it!

What up y’all…here’s another mixtape for you to enjoy. Just like my “Beats, Rhymes, and Life†mixtape series, all the tracks are mixed from front to back, without any talking over them…just good music blended as seamlessly as possible for you to bump in the car, computer, iPod, gym, office at work, etc..
[b]Unlike my usual tapes, this one is all centered around one artist, packed with new and exclusive material from a mc named Amen.[/b] If you’ve heard either “Beats, Rhymes, and Life Vol. 3: I Will Not Lose†or “Volume 5: Reloaded,†you’ve heard him spit before. A’s from South Carolina and has recorded with some of the dopest cats from the NC/SC areas (Supastition, Dan Johns, Kaze, and the Justus League’s L.E.G.A.C.Y. and Sean Boog, among others). He’s also in a group with a producer named Forge, who’s equally as nice on the boards. You can check him out at DJForge.com or Myspace . The man has heat y’all, don’t sleep.
Together, Forge & Amen have released 2 mixtapes, 2004’s “Happy Hour†and 2005’s “Lifestyles of the Broke and Shameless.†You can check out more info on these joints at ForgeandAmen.com . On this tape, Forge supplies most of the production, but there are also contributions from D-Skillz, Analogic, the Elements, Jah Freedom, School of Beats, Johnny Drama, Midi Marc, and Illmind.
So anyway, check out this mixtape and feel free to share and spread it around to anyone who enjoys some dope, honest hip-hop. Right now, it’s only available as a download (it’s 2006, we’re embracing technology…and bootleggers), but we’ll probably have some hard copies pressed up in case anyone would like to cop one and support. There’s a possibility that this could be some of Amen’s last released work, so definitely check this out…I think y’all will enjoy it. I’ve made different links from 3 different download services, so if you have any trouble getting one to work, you have some other options. Just click on one of the links and when you download the .RAR file, use either WinRar or WinZip (both freeware available at Download.com, I prefer WinRar) to extract the mp3’s to a folder.
If the links aren’t working for you for any reason, you can also get it out of my AIM Get File by adding the name “DorianBP55” to your buddy list, right clicking on it, and selecting “Get File”. Then select which mixtape you want and download it (the speed will depend on how many people are downloading it like that).
**Note: The full .rar file is 96 MB, so if you have problems with extracting the mp3’s, check first to see if you have the full file. If not, re-download it. Also, if you try to extract the mp3’s and not all 21 songs and 5 extra files are extracted, it may be due to an issue with character lengths of the files. I tried to make sure this won’t happen, but if it does, open it in WinRar, highlight the name of the tape, then click “Extract To” and navigate to the exact folder you want to put the music in. It should work, but if not…
