“It’s off the hook this year, makin’ mad money off the books this year”
My good friend, DJ Rang, and myself decided to bring one of San Juan Puerto Rico’s best DJs to NC. We saw Velcro DJ last year when we took a trip out that way, and were honestly blown away with the party that he and his crew throw on Monday nights at La Respuesta.
They expertly blended hip-hop (both new and old, true school and new school), dancehall, reggaeton, and breaks into a seamless experience that the entire crowd rocked with all night long.
The thing that really blew my mind though, was the party turned into a b-boy battle halfway through, and when that was over everything resumed without missing a beat (no pun intended).
Rang and I will be supporting Velcro early in the night as well as jumpin’ in for 2×4 sets throughout the night. To top it all off we have Durham heavyweights Toon n Laww hosting the party with us.
