TL;DR:
- I’m DJing a cool event at the NC Art Museum based on video games and art
- You get to listen to some awesome game creators talk after I DJ
- Tickets are $20 and can be bought here.
Art + Videogames
I used to be a HUGE gamer. When I got to college I was wrecking fools on power stone, dead or alive, and unreal tournament.
Over the years I had to let my gaming hobby go so that I could build my DJ career (lack of time is a good excuse, right). Lately however I’ve been getting back into everything – needless to say console gaming has come a long way over the last decade or so.
What does that have to do with DJing?
I’m glad you asked! If you didn’t know, the NCMA has an awesome Escher exhibit going on right now, and as a tie in to that, they’re doing an event dedicated to some games that have brought Escher’s imagination to life (games like Monument Valley – pictured above).
I’m excited to say I’ll be part of this event and finally get to pair DJing and gaming for the first time. What’ll happen at this event?
I’ll spin music, you can play games (and talk to the people that created them), and you get to to check out the exhibit too!
