Reggie Fest: Halloween Beer Bar and Magic
I’ll be spinning as part of Reggie Fest, which is a special Halloween event at the North Carolina Museum of Art. The official description of the event:
Conservator Perry Hurt gives 10-minute talks about Tudor blue-blood Reginald Scott, the subject of an NCMA portrait, who published an influential book that argued against the existence of witches, prompting a rebuttal by King James and informing Shakespeare’s witches in Macbeth. The book was also the first in English to describe magic tricks.
How dope is that? I mean, he literally “wrote the book” on magic – and turns out he brewed his own beer as well. So, to coincide with the topic of Halloween and magic – there will be some pretty serious magicians at the event working their magic – pardon the pun. And on the topic brewing beer – there will be great beer at the event provided by one of the triangle’s best breweries.
