It’s time again for the next edition of FIRST! which is my monthly hip-hop showcase at Cat’s Cradle’s new back room venue. Last month’s show with Tanya Morgan was awesome and we’ve got two great acts to showcase this time around! This month’s showcase will also be featured as part of Converge NC southern music festival. Converge is an awesome weekend long music festival in Chapel Hill and we’re proud to be associated with it this year.
No9to5 Music
One of NC’s most unique music collectives is No9to5 music. Made up of several emcees and producers, No9to5 always puts on an interesting and versatile show. Check out a couple of the latest tracks: “Blue & Yellow” by Cayso, followed by “Celestial Downpour” by member J Swiss:

Azon Blaze
One of my favorite songs to play at Intermission is Azon Blaze‘s “Clap Clap, Clap” (check it out and you’ll see why). So I’m excited to announce that Azon will be performing on this month’s showcase! A staple of NC hip-hop, to say Azon is everywhere would be an understatement. You’ll not want to miss his set at FIRST!
