Coming out of blogging semi-retirement (blame a busy summer and my new motorcycle obsession) for this one. This is just amazing. AMAZING. So much of the stuff he says is very true as well, especially the part about not being able to find anything else to match the fullness and richness of a song on vinyl. Just this weekend I was djing a basketball tournament, and played about 40% of my set from records that I own vs. the other 60% coming from serato. I rarely play my original records these days (who wants to lug crates around to the club anymore?) but I was reminded of my appreciation and love for them this past Saturday as each track from wax knocked just so much louder and clearer than serato.
This is also just sad. So many people will never appreciate the sound of vinyl. Blah.
