The 1da Years not only serves as a who’s who of next generation artists, but successfully showcases nick’s productions skills. Trust me when I say he’s no slouch behind the boards! His extensive knowledge of samples and his uncanny ability to dig contribute greatly to his overall production style, and it all shows on this album.Since you visit this site, you know I don’t put my cosign on anything but dope material, so do yourself a favor and pick up this disc…you won’t be disappointed. It’s only $6.50, in today’s world that’s not even three gallons of gas. Buy it.
As a sidenote I actually went up to DC/MD to hang out with nick and collect on my free b-day records last week. We went to a couple of different spots to dig, and I ended up with a couple of gems (thanks man, that loop saved my life!!!). Thanks again to nick (for the records and hip-hop talk), maiya (for the food and drinks), and tami (for the “strawberry” shakes and the fly PJs, haha) for all the hospitality, I ‘preciate it!
