Redman has always been one of my favorite emcees, but people don’t seem to put them on their “lists” when it comes to all-time greats. To me, he’s crazy underrated, and probably is the best represenation of an all-around rapper that we have currently. He came to NC last night and performed as part of a Scion tour, and did a few of his classics (and some hilarious new songs as well). Everyone knows his classics, but I think a lot of people discount what this man has done over the past few years. This is one of my absolute favorite redman tracks because the energy is insane (and that beat, phew!) but it never got the proper push it deserved (”def jam forgot how to build an artist”). I used to give this major run on my radio show back in college. With this joint and “Harder” by Comp it seemed like Def Jam was gonna drop some really REAL shit, but I guess we all know how that turned out…

Apparently Red and Meth are working on Blakout Pt. 2 to be released in late December…can’t wait!
