Wale - Artistic Integrity (from his “mixtape about nothing” mixtape, which is super dope. Watching this makes me wanna get back to DC real soon, I love it there)
Nas - Hero (sidenote: the first time I saw an audi R8 was in London last year. I almost pissed my pants with excitement. Then I realized how much we just spent on food and a cab ride and I wanted to punch myself in the stomach)
LL Cool J - Rockin With The GOAT (yeah I know, it’s LL working out, but he’s a beast on the mic still, so listen to it and pump di fist! Speaking of working out, I’ve been on the gym steady for about two months now, and my arms are getting bigger finally **drinks pro-nos** )
All three distinct styles, and all three dope. Sorry I’ve been missing, I had to fight off a lung infection **puffs inhaler**
If you haven’t heard of Ayah yet, you may wanna start checkin for her. She hails from Toronto and her sound is oh so soulful. Check her new song “Pusha Man” which also features Toronto emcee Tona (really dope) and is produced by the homie Lyve (also from Toronto!)
yeah, ok. Who’s running your music in the clubs? Cause it sure ain’t gettin that top 40 play. “Umma Do Me” and it’s marginal success? Thanks to the DJ!
Really random, but I’m starting to really really dig house music (of various formats). This is one of my favorite jams right now. It’s on some UK 2-Step steez. Definitely going into the workout mix I’m working on.
I wanted to blog about the Glow In The Dark tour, but I’ve been pretty busy and haven’t had the time. It’s probably the most well put together show I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen A LOT of shows. Everyone I talk to feels the same. Even Puff (yeah, I’m still gonna call him that.)
If it comes to your city, do yourself a favor and make the trip to see it…
