Back On Track
Ok, so my last entry/update was a little depressing, that’s life sometimes I guess. If it’s one thing my parents ever taught me though, it’s when you fall down, put some alcohol on that scrape and go back outside and play some more…with that in mind, I have a fresh sense of motivation that I hope will lead to a strong DJ presense in the Raleigh club scene by the end of summer.
I gotta let you know, the ghostface show I DJed was once again a crazy experience. He has so much classic material that he can fill an entire show with it, and keep everyone involved the entire time. No pics this time, I forgot my camera. Wednesday night is KRS-One here in Raleigh, that should be a good show as well.
In some other exciting news, my ghostface remix has been getting some airplay outside the US…Switzerland and Toronto to be exact. Wanna send a big thanks to DJ Mensa from T-Dot, and Hands Solo from Switzerland:
Thanks guys, I really mean it. Unsolicited spins mean a lot to an artist!
Also in production news, a track I did with Block McCloud is finally being released on his album which drops April 25th. The album is Spittin’ Image and the track I produced on there is called Good or Bad, which features Melody and Pumpkinhead. There was talk at one point of this song being a single, so we’ll see if that still develops. I’ll probably post the track on here once I get a final copy of it, the one I have is still unmixed.
Even more production news for you. Got a track on DJ Paradime and L.E.G.A.C.Y.’s new mixtape titled Whut? Thee Mixtape. Top Seeded is the name of the track I produced on the mixtape and the track also features K-Hill and Supastition. Make sure to pick this one up from HipHopSite as it really is a dope mixtape…here’s the link to order
Speaking of L.E.G.A.C.Y., I have a new remix to post up. This one is called I Betcha and the original (prod. by Dox) is on the above mentioned mixtape. Anyway, the folks over at Resonated Radio are having a remix contest for this track so I decided to try my hand at it. This one is pretty laid back, and I think I might do another with more energy. Here’s the track, download it and let me know what you think (right click and save):

I have a large update coming in the next couple of days with a bunch of new music for you guys. Friday Fifteen pt. 2!! I’m back….

The L.E.G.A.C.Y. beat definitely has the classic Forge spin on it. The song is over and I’m still bobbin my head to the beat. Can’t wait to hear what the beat with “more energy” is going to sound like.
I’m excited that Forge is BACK!!
