This thursday night is the beginning of a two month dj competition in which the winner gets a 6 month residency at riviera in downtown raleigh. This thursday night is the most important as crowd judging at the event, as well as online voting after the event will be factored in. The two DJs with the lowest votes will be eliminated and will not move forward

What can I say? Since the end of February I’ve been constantly busy. Steady gigs, out of town trips (including a trip to NYC which included a flight there and a 9 hour drive back home), and the 9 to 5 haven’t left much time to blog unfortunately. This week is no different. It’s time for winter music conference. It’ll be my first time there, and my first time in Miami as well. I need this trip for a number of reasons, but that’s another topic entirely.
Also, if you’ve never seen it, you should check out this documentary called “Cocaine Cowboys” It’s about how cocaine basically built up miami to the city it is today. One guy talks about how he once gave a helping hand to a US customs boat by towing them inland, all the while having 300-400 kilograms of cocaine in the belly of his boat. Incredible.
Made this for an event here in Raleigh. No rap (or very little of it). Something new for me, but sometimes it’s better that way (hides from the purists). This is all completely random, and I made it over night, so I don’t consider it to be stellar but it’s a pretty good mix I think.
I’ve been really busy lately so I haven’t had time to update from my trip with paradime out to LA, hopefully I can do that soon. But right now, I just had to post this:
