Finally updated the shows section again…lots of stuff coming up!

Ok, tomorrow I’ll put up all the music I promised, but I want to take this little intermission to tell you about my friend nicktha1da’s album, Tha 1da Years. The 1da Years not only serves as a who’s who of next generation artists, but successfully showcases nick’s productions skills. Trust me when I say he’s no slouch behind the boards! His extensive knowledge of samples and his uncanny ability to dig contribute greatly to his overall production style, and it all shows on this album.Since you visit this site, you know I don’t put my cosign on anything but dope material, so do yourself a favor and pick up this disc…you won’t be disappointed. It’s only $6.50, in today’s world that’s not even three gallons of gas. Buy it.

As a sidenote I actually went up to DC/MD to hang out with nick and collect on my free b-day records last week. We went to a couple of different spots to dig, and I ended up with a couple of gems (thanks man, that loop saved my life!!!). Thanks again to nick (for the records and hip-hop talk), maiya (for the food and drinks), and tami (for the “strawberry” shakes and the fly PJs, haha) for all the hospitality, I ‘preciate it! Well, if you’ve visited the site in the last few days you’ve noticed that it’s been down. I ended up exceeding my bandwidth thanks to people hotlinking the mp3s of all the past friday fives on their blogs. It’s funny too, I was just about to post a new friday fifteen, but I’ll have to use a sharing service like yousendit or something and then make the update.
